A little bit about me

I am a very proud Cornishman with a passion for my county and all the wonderful views and scenes within it that we are blessed with on a day to day basis. My photo-realistic style is a result of my training in illustration at Falmouth School of Art and Design and subsequent career in London and Australia . . .

“Jamie Medlin is one of the finest living marine artists, whose work has garnered international recognition. His near photographic attention to detail is perfectly suited to the yachts he depicts, evoking memories of the golden age of yachting, which when combined with the colour and vibrancy of his paintings makes these works modern masterpieces.”

Nuances of Light Exhibition

20 APRIL – 29 JUNE 2024

Free entry

I’m absolutely delighted to announce the biggest gathering of my work to date will be brought together in an exhibition at Falmouth Art Gallery this spring.

The exhibition will be a retrospective, borrowing back the best artworks from my clients countrywide, showcasing a crossover of my scenic and yachting work from my 38 year career in maritime art.

It will feature 35 of my favourite paintings along with some selected artworks by some of the town’s most notable artists, highlighting the rich tradition of maritime painting in Falmouth.

The exhibition will open to the public from 20 April – 29 June, with demonstrations, Q&A sessions and much more.
