Nuances of Light Exhibition
20 APRIL – 29 JUNE 2024
Free entry
I’m absolutely delighted to announce the biggest gathering of my work to date will be brought together in an exhibition at Falmouth Art Gallery this spring.
The exhibition will be a retrospective, borrowing back the best artworks from my clients countrywide, showcasing a crossover of my scenic and yachting work from my 38 year career in maritime art.
This is one of very few occasions the gallery have ever allowed a solo show, so I’m very honoured to be given the privilege.
It will feature 35 of my favourite paintings along with some selected artworks by some of the town’s most notable artists, highlighting the rich tradition of maritime painting in Falmouth.
The exhibition will open to the public from 20 April – 29 June, with demonstrations, Q&A sessions and much more.
When I complete an original – only a handful of people ever see it before it goes to the client or is sold elsewhere. Most of you have only ever seen prints or images on a computer or phone screen. There is NO substitute for seeing the actual artworks in the flesh and if you like my work, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed . . .
As it takes me so long to produce a painting, I’d have to work unpaid for several years in order to exhibit at this scale, so . . . I must say a huge thank you to Donna and the gallery staff for giving me this opportunity.
Also a massive thank you to the sponsors – Verdant Brewery, Pendennis Shipyard, Jonathan Cunliffe Ltd, Ancasta and PB&J Web Design, as without their support, this exhibition could never have happened.
To all the people who have bought my prints and have liked, commented, followed my work and shared my social media posts over the years— THANK YOU!
I know a lot of you personally, but there are hundreds of you that comment and share my posts on a regular basis that I’ve never met! Please pop into the exhibition and introduce yourself, it would be lovely to meet you all in person!!
